Life at the NDA group
Creating great places to work where people are respected and included so they can perform at their best
Investing in you
Whichever one of our companies that you join, you’ll be part of the wider NDA group, focused on delivering a shared mission with 17,000 colleagues working in dozens of locations around the United Kingdom and beyond.
That means there are numerous opportunities to progress your career, learn new skills and gain different experiences with a commitment to invest in you and your future development.

We’re making a difference
We’re delivering one of the world’s most important environmental programmes. The NDA group is committed to achieving the Government’s carbon net zero ambitions. The work that we’re doing to reduce hazards and manage the UK’s nuclear legacy makes a significant contribution to this effort.
Diversity and inclusion
We’re making progress towards the ambitious goals we’ve set ourselves with our 2025 Diversity and Inclusion Strategy. Key areas include:
- Inclusive culture and leadership
- Workforce diversity
- Embedding inclusion
- Respect, dignity and employee voice
- Flexibility, agility and smarter working
“We want everyone in the NDA to feel respected, included and able to perform at their best. Our ambition is to create great places to work where employees are happy, treated fairly and can contribute fully to our mission. We have a lot to be proud of in terms of the improvements we’ve made, but we must stay focused on this agenda.
“It takes a wealth of skills, knowledge and experience to carry out our work on behalf of the UK. We are building an NDA for everyone.”

Be part of our change
Our employees are the biggest ambassadors for change within the NDA group.
There are a variety of employee-led networks in the NDA and our operating companies, as well as group-wide communities for disability awareness (Enable), LGBTQ+, race equality, gender balance and menopause awareness (Meno hub).
Supporting employee wellbeing
Employee mental health is a particular focus, with one in four people in the UK experiencing a mental health problem each year. We’re particularly proud of our colleagues who volunteered to take part in our ‘This is Me’ campaign, sharing their personal experiences to show people that anyone can suffer from mental health issues and that it’s okay to talk.
The video was created with the aim of normalising the conversation around mental health in the workplace and providing insight into a range of experiences and support received.
